Jokerly

Terms of use

Last updated: October 14, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and The Open Apps, Inc. ("we", "us") for using Jokerly American Mahjong: the plugin in ChatGPT and the website jokerly.ambientapp.ai. By using Jokerly you agree to them.

The service

Jokerly is a helper for American mahjong. It counts how many tiles away a rack is from the hands you give it, suggests Charleston passes, and checks joker swaps against the standard rules. It costs nothing, and has no purchases, subscriptions or ads.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use Jokerly with a parent's or guardian's permission.

Your card

Jokerly ships no league's or publisher's card. Save only hands from a card you own or may use, for your own play. Jokerly keeps your saved hands private to you: it doesn't publish them, share them or combine them with anyone else's. Card hands belong to their publishers.

A game aid, not a referee

  • Jokerly follows the standard American mahjong rules. Your table may play house rules; agree on them with the other players.
  • ChatGPT reads your photos and may misread a tile. Jokerly shows the tiles it received so you can check them.
  • Jokerly keeps no score and handles no money. Don't use it for wagering.
  • Don't use Jokerly in a tournament or game whose rules forbid outside help.

Fair use

Don't try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.

ChatGPT

Jokerly runs inside ChatGPT, which OpenAI provides under its own terms. We are not responsible for what ChatGPT says beyond Jokerly's own results.

Content

Jokerly's engine, practice hands, guides and website belong to us. Hands you save stay yours.

Availability

We may change, pause or stop Jokerly at any time. Saved cards are deleted 12 months after their last use.

Disclaimers

Jokerly is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim about Jokerly is limited to US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes

When we change these terms we update the date at the top. If you keep using Jokerly after a change, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you rights that can't be waived.
