Writing your card's hands

Jokerly checks your rack against the hands on your card. Write each line once, the way it reads, and Jokerly keeps it for you. You can also just send ChatGPT a photo of your card and ask it to save the hands: it writes them in this notation for you.

The rules

Groups go in order, separated by spaces, 14 tiles in all: FF 2222a 4444b 6666c is a pair of flowers and three kongs (2s, 4s, 6s) in three different suits.

a, b, cSuit tags. The same letter is the same suit; different letters are different suits. On a printed card, each color is one tag.

  • A token of different symbols is a run of singles: 2026a (2, Soap, 2, 6) or NEWS.
  • A hand with no tags at all uses one suit: 222 444 6666 8888.
  • Any numbers. If the card says any like numbers or any consecutive numbers, tell Jokerly the numbers can move (“any”): it then tries every run that fits 1-9. Odd or even runs that move in steps of two are “odd/even”.
  • Concealed. Mark a concealed hand (C on most cards): it can't be made once you have exposures.
  • Signs on addition hands are ignored: FF 1111a + 6666a = 7777a works.

Jokers

You never write jokers into a hand. Jokerly lets them stand in for any tile in a group of three or more, and never in a single or a pair, as the rules say.

Privacy

Hands you save are kept under ChatGPT's anonymous ID for you, never shown to anyone else, and deleted when you say “Delete my Jokerly card” or after 12 months without use. See the privacy policy.
