How far is your rack from every hand on your card?
Jokerly is an American mahjong helper in ChatGPT. Snap a photo of your rack: Jokerly counts how many tiles away you are from each hand on your card, says which three tiles to pass in the Charleston, and tells you whether a joker swap is legal.
The counting is done by a rules engine, not guessed: jokers only in groups of three or more, every suit and every number the hand allows.

Three questions it answers at the table
How close am I?
Every hand on your card, ranked by tiles away, with the tiles each still needs and where a joker can stand in.
What do I pass?
Jokerly tries every set of three tiles and keeps the pass that leaves you closest, never a joker. On the last pass it says when a blind pass saves a tile.
Can I take that joker?
Exposure, timing and tile checked against the standard rules, plus whether the swap brings you closer.
Bring your own card
Jokerly comes with no league's card. Type or photograph the hands on the card your table plays, and Jokerly saves them for you alone: never shared, never pooled with anyone else's. Until then, try its own practice hands.
A hand is written the way it reads on a card, with a letter for each suit color: FF 2222a 4444b 6666c. See how to write a hand.
Try saying
- “Here's my mahjong rack [photo]. How far am I from the hands on my card?”
- “What three tiles should I pass right in the first Charleston?”
- “Can I swap my 5 Dot for the joker in their 5 Dot pung?”
- “Save these hands from my card: [photo of your card]”
Questions
- Does Jokerly include this year's card?
- No. Card hands belong to their publishers, so Jokerly ships none. You save the hands from your own card, privately.
- How does it read my tiles?
- ChatGPT reads the photo and passes the tiles to Jokerly. Jokerly shows every tile it got, so you can fix a misread one with a tap.
- Does it work for any card?
- Any card whose hands are 14 tiles in groups: you write each line in Jokerly's notation, once.
- Does it keep score?
- No. Jokerly counts tiles and checks rules; it keeps no score and handles no money.
