Jokerly

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Jokerly is made by The Open Apps, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Jokerly American Mahjong plugin in ChatGPT and the website jokerly.ambientapp.ai. It explains what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and how you can delete it.

The short version

  • Jokerly needs no account. It knows you only by a scrambled form of the anonymous ID that ChatGPT sends.
  • The only thing we keep about you is the hands you choose to save from your own mahjong card.
  • Your rack, exposures and the tiles you ask about are used to answer you and are not stored on our servers.
  • Jokerly never receives your photos: ChatGPT reads them and sends Jokerly tile codes and hand lines.
  • Say "Delete my Jokerly card" in ChatGPT and your saved card is deleted at once.
  • We don't show ads, sell data, send marketing email, or use analytics or advertising cookies.

What we collect

What Where it comes from Why we need it
A scrambled (hashed) form of the anonymous user ID that ChatGPT sends ChatGPT To keep your saved card for you and nobody else. We never receive your name, email address or chat history
The hands you save from your card: each line as you or ChatGPT wrote it, its label and rules (any numbers, concealed), and the card's name You, through ChatGPT To check your rack against your own card
When you last used Jokerly Our server To delete cards nobody has used for 12 months
The tiles in each request: your rack, exposures, tiles you've seen, a tile you want to swap You, through ChatGPT To answer that request. They are not stored on our servers
Technical logs: the time, the page or tool used, the names of the fields sent (not their values), counts, response codes, errors, the approximate country, language and app type ChatGPT reports, and scrambled forms of the user, conversation and workspace IDs ChatGPT sends Your browser or ChatGPT To keep the service running and secure and to find problems. Logs never contain tiles, hands, card names or IP addresses
Support messages: your email address and message You To answer you

We don't collect names, email addresses (except when you write to support), contacts, photos, precise location or ChatGPT conversations.

About ChatGPT. You use Jokerly through ChatGPT, where OpenAI handles your conversation and any photos you share under OpenAI's privacy policy. ChatGPT reads your photos and sends Jokerly only the tiles and hand lines it read.

How we use it

  • To count how many tiles away your rack is from each hand, suggest Charleston passes and check joker swaps.
  • To keep the hands you saved, so you don't have to enter your card again.
  • To keep the service secure and working, and to answer support requests.

We don't use any of it for advertising, profiling or training AI models, and we never combine your saved card with anyone else's.
